Shelley's Ghost

Captain Roberts reported recovering from the wreck of Shelley’s boat ‘Cloths of all sorts (mostly rotten) books & spy glass broken’. The English-made spy-glass here was preserved in the family collection as a Shelley relic and was bequeathed to the Bodleian by Sir John Shelley-Rolls. It is in good condition, but could conceivably be the broken spy-glass found by Roberts, after repair.
